• revoking (i.e. cancelling) an existing power of attorney that you no longer want.

• registering enduring or lasting powers of attorney

• conflicts about powers of attorney

• support and guidance to attorneys

• supporting you with your daily financial affairs

• preparing an advance decision or living will (a document containing a statement of instructions about     the medical and healthcare treatment you want to refuse in the future, in case you lose mental capacity)

• obtaining a medical mental or testamentary capacity assessment.

• sharing your home, for example, moving in with your children or having someone move in with you.

• preparing a statutory will

• making substantial gifts and the consequences, for example, contributing towards the purchase of a     larger house to accommodate extended family or paying all or part of the cost of building an annexe

• care and nursing fee funding

 

Assistance in later life can include

• acting for you as professional attorneys

• advising you on an ad hoc basis to assist with one-off matters, such as liaising with your bank or a     third-party investor to close an account or cash in an asset.

• advising you on a longer-term basis to help you with your financial and administrative affairs.

• advising you regarding care and nursing fee funding and associated contracts.

• advising your attorneys- , for example, providing guidance on how they can make decisions on your   behalf in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and its associated Code of Practice.

• helping you to apply for state benefits and support that you are entitled to.

• discussing the alternatives to a care home, for example, advising on whether it is possible to stay in   your own home and liaising with third parties to facilitate this.

• advising on safeguarding concerns
