The Land Registry is encouraging all property owners to be vigilant for scams which could affect their properties.

You are more at risk if:

  • your identity’s been stolen
  • you rent out your property
  • you live overseas
  • the property is empty
  • the property is not mortgaged
  • the property is not registered at Land Registry
